#STOCYBERSAFE

The Rundown

Who are you? How does it all work? You’re a teen in the digital age. You use internet connected devices as part of your everyday life, whether for school, research, entertainment, or social connectivity purposes.

What is this challenge about? We believe you have a rich set of experiences online. We hope all of them are positive ones. But statistics reported by watchdog organizations say otherwise. We believe in the power of your voice, and in the power of your stories.

We invite you to share your stories to educate and empower your peers on any of the following topics:

  • On a scale of 1-10 (1: least safe, 10: safest), how safe do you feel online? What makes you feel safe? What makes you feel unsafe?
  • How do you spend your time online? What are your favorite platforms and why? How do you ensure that you’re safe on your favorite platforms?
  • Have you or anyone you know ever experienced cyberbullying? Did you get help? If so, from whom? If not, why not? What resources are available in your community if a friend finds themselves in this position? What did you learn from it?
