What we do

Clubs for students to explore online safety in a fun & friendly environment. The Safeteens clubs conduct awareness programs across school on various cybersecurity topics in line with national programs supported department of homeland security (DHS).

WHAT’S A CLUB?
Clubs are free programs for 6th-12th grade students to join a cohort of supportive peers and role models using technology to change the world. They can be held in person or entirely online.

CYBER SCHOLARS by SAFETEENS

The cyber–Scholars Program was founded on the ethos of investing in talented, passionate students to train in cybersecurity careers and become role models to the greater technology community. The cyber scholars become proficient in various cybersecurity topics through cyber scholar curriculum completion and conducting workshops to advocate their know-how through a partnership with the national program.

Eligibility

  • Be a high school student at an accredited institution or enrolled in a 4-year university.
  • Have a demonstrated interest in cybersecurity

Benefits of the Program

  • Leadership Skills
    • First and foremost, Cyber scholars will be leaders in their local, state, national, and even global communities!
  • Connections to Partner Companies
    • Connect with technology leaders at some of our partner companies and organizations as part of the Cyber Scholars cohort!
  • Communication and Teaching Skills
    • Scholars will develop a curriculum for four workshops of their choosing in emerging technology with the support of the national safeteensonline team, gaining skills such as organization, content preparation, and effective communication.
